Natural FET

Hi Everyone!

My first IVF cycle was a bust and now my doctor is recommending a Natural FET..he is now telling me that I can put up to two or three eggs back if I want. I find this odd because when I did my fresh transfer, the doctor was concerned that I would not be able to handle having twins with OHSS (could have been a possibility), so he wanted me to put back only one egg..now he is allowing me to put up to three..idk..I guess I just don't get it.

I asked my nurse why three??..and she just said that I seem very aggressive with this whole process and that he is just giving me that option..

Also, has anyone ever gotten pregnant on a natural FET before? She told me that I only have to take some oral meds and prometrium.

I got pregnant on a hormone replacement FET, but I have PCOS.

They only wanted to put back one during the fresh cycle because you were at risk for OHSS...if you had gotten pregnant the higher your HCG (which is usually doubled with twins) the worse the OHSS.
If I recall correctly, you asked to put back two and you didn't get pregnant. So, in keeping with the aggressive approach, they are figuring that if they put back three the most you will probably get PG with is two. Since you weren't worried about that, then neither are they.

Thx for responding Gerty...and yes, I asked them to put two back and it was a bust...

Well, I guess I just got concerned that the doctor thought that I could get preggo with one egg during my fresh cycle (since he thought that the two eggs could possibly take and make me sicker)...and now he's offering me to put three in..which made me feel like something was wrong..idk..these days I am not feeling very confident in my RE..
