Nanny cams
How do you feel about nanny cams? If you have a nanny, do you have one? Why or why not? If you have one (or would get one if you had a nanny), would you tell the nanny?
We are getting a nanny 3 days/week when I return to work, and are debating whether or not to set something up. I'm thinking we should .. just wondering your thoughts on this.

My friend has one. She found it very helpful. She can see her daughter throughout the day & it confirms everything she hoped she was getting in her nanny - the interaction, the caring nature, etc.
eta. her nanny doesn't know about it.

I dont have one but am all for them.
I WFH 3days, DH 1 and they are only alone 1- it took me weeks to leave them alone and I call regularly.
I dont know where to put it/them as they spend the day are all through the house

Same with us. We told our nanny upfront.

I dont have cams on my nanny but I am for them 100%
During my interview process I found this really cool website where you buy the equipment from them and you can monitor via online. I have it bookmarked at on my home computer - I dont know the company off hand.
Let me know if you want it and I will check tonight.

I have a nanny and yes, have a nanny cam as well. We have them set up at different points in our house. Our nanny doesn't know. I can access it online from work so I can always see what's going on. Obviously we don't have them in her bedroom or our bedrooms, bathrooms, etc... just the main living area where DD is. I love them and feel 100000% better leaving my DD with a stranger knowing I have these. Like the others, I can view it online but it also records to a DVR so we can go back and watch if need be.

If we get a nanny we plan on having nanny cams and telling her that they are there.
I prefer that she knows she's being watched and therefore would know she couldn't get away with anything shady then have her try and be caught, KWIM?
