Why is she skeptical? I know alot of mom's on here did it. I already contacted them and am dropping mine off at the post office today.

I wasn't sure if I would do it or not, so I decided to call and just be honest and see what happened.
I called and said I heard about this from a friend. I told the woman that my DS has eczema, so if he did break out from the clothes, I might not have realized that is what it was from. Even if he didn't have a reaction, I planned on keeping the clothes for another baby and now I feel like I can't do anything with them, can't use them, donate them or give them to another mom. She said, "OK" and asked me how many pieces I had. I have about 80 - almost all of his clothes were Carter's up until he was a year old. She told me she'd send me the postage paid envelope and gave me the instructions to send it all back.
Tell her to call. I think they are trying to do the right thing and are willing to take the stuff back regardless so they don't lose customers.

I also had a very pleasant experience with Carter's so far. There is nothing to be skeptical about. I called explained that my daughter is extremely sentsitive and that the clothing may have added to the situation. She asked how many peices and they sent me a prepaid enveloped to send it back. I mailed the clothing back about a week or so ago and now I am waiting to see what I get

well it's not a fraud, I got my check this week and sent my stuff early June. I thought the whole process was pretty fast.
When I called about sending the stuff the only question they asked was did your son have a reaction to the clothing or are you concerned. Either way they will accept the clothing back. If you're are not satisfied with the clothing at all this is your opportunity to return it. Just make sure you are sending the right clothes back.

carters (way back) issued out an advisory on their website regarding their fall 2007 clothing line. It is possible that the tagless clothing (2007 fall clothing line only) irritated babies. So they issued out a statement that if you are concerned or feel that your child has had a reaction to call them and they will refund you money at the manufacturers retail price. It will not matter if you purchased the clothes yourself or got them as a gift. They will not ask for receiptios they will just ask you how many pieces of clothing you have, they will send you a pre paid bag, they will determine the cost and issue you out a check payable to you.
Try to do a search on here for the Carters advisory link. If you can't find it just call them directly they will put you through to the right group. There are pictures of the tagless shirts you need to be careful that you are sending them the right ones. Try doing a google image search on Carters advisory, or carters tagless clothing it might pop up.

Carters must have said to me at least 3 times, IT"S not a RECALL..
I got my check within 3 weeks of sending back the clothes and my daughter did get a nasty rash from the tags, but my other didn't.

I sent my clothes back a few weeks ago and we got a check on Monday. No problems whatsoever.

My son did get a rash from the clothes and my PED was the one who actually told me about the Carters advisory and to call.
We had given away a TON of stuff ( almost all his clothes were from this line at that time frame ) and we sold a lot at A garage sale, but we had some stuff left for possible future babies, I sent it back and got a check about 3 weeks later.
