I teach 7th grade math and I think this is a really cute idea for the kids!! I know that my kids could do the frequency table. However, do they know how to create the pie chart in excel(or whatever program they are using) to do the graph? If the kids are doing this in a computer lab and you specifically have taught them how to do this then I think it is great. Also, I think having them write some conclusions on their project is a nice idea. So many kids can do the work, but they cannot explain it in words and I think that would be a good way to practice for them.

I think this is really cute and a great thing to have in your classroom for back to school night next year!!

My students should be able to do the graph - they all took computer skills last year or the first semester of this year. I am also giving them time in class to work on it, so I think they would be okay.

I love the idea of adding a paragraph or two to tie it all together.
