My Puppy Hurt His Paw! Update!
Captain was running/jumping/hopping through the house playing with a toy and he slid into a baby gate. (Man, puppies are clutzy!)
He is slightly limping, but he's still using his paw to walk. Do you think he broke or sprained it, or did he just stub his poor foot?
He isn't making any noise to indicate that he's in pain and the limp is not constant. DH is afriad he broke it, but I figured if he hurt it very badly, he wouldn't be able to walk on it at all.
Should we wait a day to see if he stops favoring it? Or should we take him to the vet immediately?

He hasn't limped yet today
He's clumsy

I would take him to the vet if he is still limping today. I wouldn't want to chance it. My dog has limped and I have always been instructed to take him in if the limp isn't gone in the am after resting.
