My new vacuum review

So I got the Hoover Duros
External Image

it was $159 at PCRichard, but I got them to give it to me for $149.
I've used it a few times already I so far I love it. Its the first canister vacuum I've had in years & works really well on tile, wood, pergo & carpet.
So now I have an upright, a shop vac, a shark sweeper, a stick vac & thisChat Icon
My floors better be clean now.

Re: My new vacuum review

yes, I have all those vacuums. The upright I had from our townhouse which had mostly carpet so it worked fine. The shop vac we've always had for big projects but that's what I've been usually on my floors for regular cleaning since we moved 2+yrs ago because the upright is terrible on floors. Then I have the stick vacuum upstairs for quick cleaning on the bedroom floors(pergo). and I bought the shark sweeper last year for my kitchen, great room quick clean ups.
But in reality I was using the humongous shopvac 99% of the time, because our dog that we adore is a friggin hairball & I feel like their are dustbunnys after 10 minutes.
I would like to get an electrolux canister, but I'm NOT spending $500 on a vacuum. DH wants to put in central vac in the future, that will be great.
So after much speculation & a little research I decided in the hoover & I'm loving it.

We have two shop vacs, an upright, a hand-held vac, steam cleaner, hand-held steam cleaner, and looking for another upright soon.... Chat Icon No canister vacs on our list, though....

Re: My new vacuum review

Whats the benefits of a canister vacuum over a regular upright vacuum?
Thanks,

Re: My new vacuum review

I don't have much carpet in my house, just two rooms & I find the uprights just shot the dirt out on the hard flooring. I also have a dog & a bunny that both shed & its a constant battle with the pet hair. My living room furniture is on legs & w/the canister I can get all the way under it.
The canister style is way better for attachments IMO. My upright was a PITA to use the attachments.
My new canister is light.

I was eyeing this one and then you confirmed that I wanted itChat Icon

I love canister vacuums. I do have a lot of carpet upstairs in my house and I always used a canister. It is easier for me to get under things and it is also better for my back then pushing around an upright vacuum.
