Our first appt was at 6 weeks and we had a sono.
But if you are really early, like 4 weeks or so, I would think they would just do bloodwork. I dont think you can see anything that early.

6 weeks-pg test in office, weight, bp, internal exam, went for bloodwork
8 weeks-weight bp, internal sonogram
It depends on the doctor.

Well I took a HPT last Thursday and I was trying to call on Friday, but they must have been closed for the Jewish holiday.
But Sunday/Monday I had some bleeding, so I asked to see the Dr. They took blood, urine sample and did an internal sonogram and they told me don't get scared if you don't hear a heartbeat because you are like 5/5.5 weeks and its still too early. All we can see was the sac.
I'm scheduled to go back in 2 weeks.
