My eractic cycles are confusing me.........some insight please?

My cycles have been as follows:

April 25 days
May 30 days
June 36 days
July 32 days
August 30 days

My confusion is here: on MyMonthyCycles.com, it AVERAGES your days to come out with an expected O day. I am AVERAGED at 31 days. But if I am O normally, isn't is approx. to O on or about CD 14?

If I go by the site as a guide (we are not yet ready to be techinical about this, so we have not temped or done OPK's), then I am set to O on CD 18.


I am guessing if I am taking the "lets see what happens" method for now, I should just be BD'ing all week long & every night then!!!

Any insight from those with more experiance? Or should I start temping next month anyway (if we get a BFN) because my cycles are not steady?

I would suggest starting with OPK's first this way you can truly see when you are O! That will help to pinpoint your cycle a little more...

using OPKs would definitely help you to figure out your cycle, but i can totally understand not wanting to get technical just yet. so i would just BD every other day from when AF ends until just about when your period is due. if you do it this way there's no way you can miss your fertile period no matter when you ovulate.
