My 3 month old has a cold
Hi, I was so sick with a sinus infection and cold-and I was so worried that I was going to give it my DD and I think I did--she was sniffling in her sleep all night and this morning her nose was running a little--Is there anything I could do?? I feel so bad :(

You can give her saline drops, use a cool-mist humidifier, elevate her mattress.

I agree with these and my ped said I could give saline through the nebulizer

DS had a cold at 4 mos...
I did the saline nose spray, rubbed baby vicks on his feet and a tiny bit on his chest, and gave him warm baths - I feel like the baths helped him most - the warm steam opened everything up.

DS has had several colds. The first one was at 3.5 months. I used saline drops and a cool mist humidifier. I also tried to keep him as elevated as possible.

DS got his first cold around 2.5 months.
Ask your ped. if you can use the Baby Vick's? I dont remember if I used it on DS when he was that young. Otherwise saline spray and cool mist humidifier and suction his nose often.

DS got sick at 3 mos too. It turned into a bad chest cold. Try running the shower hot and sit in the steamed up bathroom with her for a few minutes a few times a day.

Did the colds disrupt your DC sleeping or eating--she is such a great sleeper, I am worried that she wont sleep as well. Of course I go back to work next week :( Thanks for all ur help!

If I can remember correctly, he really wanted to sleep a lot, but he also ate less, so he woke up in the middle of the night to eat. He also had a hard time laying flat to sleep because of the congestion, so I used the car seat for naps and I made sure to saline and aspirate him before bed and put him in the crib so I would have the heartbeat monitor. As a PP suggested you can also elevate the mattress a little bit.

honestly, if the cold is disrupting his sleeping and eating patterns...i would take him to the doctor....he is still very young...my kid got his first bad cold at 7 weeks old...
