He is a great eater in all other areas. He loves his water and drinks that, but whether I put milk or formula in a bottle or sippy cups he refuses. I am starting to get worried he isn't get the calcium/milk fat he needs.

I try to compensate with yogurt, cheese, but need additional tips.
thanks!

I am going to be super controversial here and say that I personally think, this is my opinion, I have no medical training, I am not a doctor, nor am I any kind of consultant, BUT I think that the milk thing is a myth, as long as your kid is getting enough dairy in his diet, and he loves his solids...don't worry about it! He is fine!

My DD doesn't like milk, stopped formula at 11 months, but I give her yogurt twice a day, she LOOOOVES yogurt. Once in awhile she'll drink milk, but only 1%

one of the reasons for milk is the fat -so i would try foods like avacado which is high in good fat

my DD was the same way. No milk, no chocolate milk, no soy milk, etc, etc...

I was concerned because she had gone 3 full days of no bottles or sippy cups other than water.

After speaking with the ped, they told us not to worry, just compensate with other dairy sources. I then tried the yo baby yogurt smooties and would add milk to it and that's what she would drink.

Even now at 22 months, she still will not drink straight milk, only the smoothies with added milk. She gets what she needs from other sources.

My DS wasn't really liking drinking milk from his sippy cups when we transitioned him at 1 year.

I asked my ped about it and she wasn't concerned at all. She said that as long as he was getting dairy in other sources (cheese, yogurt) that it was fine and she didn't worry about how many ounces of milk he was taking in.

Did you put the smoothes in a sippy cup?

Yes, in a sippy. She didn't trust the bottle anymore because we kept putting milk in it. Which was fine with me, one less thing for me to get her off of.
