Movie: The Hamiltons - OMG SCARY!
A few weeks ago someone on here posted a link to a website that listed about 12 movies that were just released on DVD that were too scary to be put into the theatres. I just got The Hamiltons from the library and I am watching it now and I had to pause it to post about how SCARY IT IS! Has anyone seen it?
Ok - back to the movie!

For me, most movies are too scary to be in the movie theater.. but then again, I'm afraid of the dark

Plot summary for
The Hamiltons (2006)
advertisement The Hamiltons seem to be an ordinary American family, living in a small town in Northern California and dealing with the problems of everyday life. They've also been recently adjusting to the untimely death of their parents. David Hamilton, the oldest, has taken it upon his shoulders to pick up the responsibility for the orphaned family. Twins Wendell and Darlene are darker than the other two siblings and have become more conniving in the past few months. The youngest and most sensitive of the family is Francis. Francis recently found an old video camera his parents owned, and is using it to work on a school project about his family. It's through Francis' eyes that we soon get to know the Hamiltons and realize that there are much more disturbing elements lurking below the surface of "ordinary." Written by Tulsa [edited]

These movies were shown in the select movie theatres last fall for 3 days only. It was called HorrorFest's "8 Films To Die For".
DH & I saw 3 of them

Unrest
Wicked Little Things

If you didn't sleep after watching SAW you definitely won't sleep after watching these. My personal opinion these movies were not that scary compared to the horror movies that are out now.

I recently happened upon a movie on HBO and like all scary movies, I don't intend on watching them but can't turn away. This one was pretty scary IMO. It was called Wolf Creek. The Hamiltons sound like another one of those movies I'd be scared of but would not be able to resist.

The Hamiltons was freaky....it wasn't so much horror movie scary but just f-ed up....it's hard to explain but worth seeing!
