I think my daughters parish didnt hold communion on Mothers Day just for this reason!!! (I could be wrong though)...

I'm sorry. I had a cousin who had a baptisms for his kids on Mother's Day, Father's Day and Superbowl Sunday (he has 8 kids ).
I agree, the churches shouldn't have them on Mother's day and Father's day.
