Mom's who switched from BM to all Formula

Did you have any problems?
Miranda is already constipated and has hard poo and is on medication which doesn't seem to be working anymore.
With our trip to NY and Disney coming I have decided that now is the time for me to stop pumping. I have been mostly pumping for 7 months ( a few months in there she would nurse) and I have just had enough.
It is very depressing for me to watch my supply decrease and I feel guilty for having decreased my pumping sessions so I'm coming to terms with just stopping and letting her go the next 5 months on formula.
She already gets about 40% formula, I'm just concerned about any problems we might have with all formula.
Thanks.

I never had problems. Maybe it's the brand you are using?

Its the only one she can keep down. I don't think her constipation is from the formula. Like I said she was mostly BM up until today.

Hmmm, well, I weaned Gabriella at 11 months (since I was already 2 months preggo) Gianni gets more formula than she did and lately (except for teething) has been better about spitting up lately.

Is she on a special kind? Or just something you found worked and stuck with it.

Perhaps with the constipation, you could try pear juice? A lot of people swear by that.

ETS: Ok, sorry, I'm trying to type with a two year old. She's on meds for constipation already? There digestive track changes a lot around 6 months...give or take a little. So something that did or didn't work, sometimes changes a lot.

She's on Gentlease and does well with it so I'm going to stick with it.
She's not a big eater or drinker which is part of the problem. I offer hear pear juice, water, etc but she won't drink much.
I also try to get prunes in her once a day.
I'll be calling the ped. back Monday since her increase in meds didn't help.

The saddest thign for me when I went to all formula was pouring my BM down the drain. I seriously cried like a baby. I felt so guilty

Molly only had formula those first 4 weeks but she was throwing up on it and constipated. I think some babies do better on it than she did.
It is hard when you see your milk supply going away. No need to dump it though..give it to her and then the formula. I always suggest testing out formula before giving up your supply because it is hard to get back if she doesn't do well on it.

I can't get Noah on to all formula...he is having 3oz bm and 3oz formula! He hates the taste, even when we mix is like 2bm/4formula, he just hates formula on its own! I gave him a bottle of straight up formula and he turned his nose up!

I am desperate to stop pumping but just can't seem to do it!

One thing that I have noticed for us is that he spits up a heck of a lot when he has formula, lots more than he did on just BM

eta...my supply is already diminishing and my pumping sessions are exactly the same, I don't understand why.
