moms of toddlers: what are you using this summer for flotation devices for the pool?

I don't know what to get them. I have a canopy float, but I wanted to give them more movement.

DDs have swimsuits where the top is like a flotation vest. I didn't really think of anything else besides that.

can you show me? some of the stuff I looked at said 2 years for approval, they will be 21 months at the beginning of summer.

It's from Lands End in Sears (from last year). Oooh I see that now - the Recommended age is 2. They'll just be in pools with them on and we'll be holding them, so I'm not too concered about the warning. Do you want me to take a picture of it to show you?

just a warning, my little sister wore this one year...she jumped into the pool and flipped head first...so her rear end was in the air...once they are in that position it's really hard for them to flip back over.

i dont recommend this. i brought this on vacation last year for dd(4yrs old) and ds (3 years old) and it doesnt do a very good job of keeping them a float. i still had to hold on to them the whole time in the pool cause they kept falling forward and were scared. im going with vests this year.

i wish i had seen this b4 i left the house, but I'm glad to see that you are going with the vest...
my sister when she was a baby was in a floatie thing.... my brother jumped in the pool with her and wound up flipping her over.... i had to run and throw myself into the pool and flip her right side over... she was submerged for about 10 seconds.... scary $hit...
