When my 1st DS was a little guy, he pretended he was a garbage man. He would take any "cans" (Lego or Lincoln Log containers), fill them up and dump them like a garbage man. It was pretty funny!

Cars! Same here.
Did I mention his favorite pretend game is called "car dealership" (he's got about 100 matchbox cars and knows all the different types of cars.
Can we say daddy has him trained already

My son is a builder, he loves to make his contraptions. He's always loved building toys like Gears, Legos, Lincoln Logs, etc. Even with the trains, he was never into the playing with the trains part as much as setting up the tracks.

Anything with his trains. Last night they had a pile up under the coffee table. He also loves the Soccer Monster episode of the Backyardigans so he runs around the basement kicking his ball yelling "Shoot, score!" He also pretends play with my old cabbage patch doll since he sees me changing, burping and rocking Molly.
He also likes to be a pirate and say "arr".

That's good, so my DS isn't that unusual! It usually has to be the exact car he wants. If he wants his Land Rover, I can't give him a Porsche or Lincoln. He has more matchbox and bigger cars than I can count. He also like to build castles and houses for his cars. He has a cash register, so he'll "buy" things once in a while. He also likes building a "house" with pillows.
He even "turns right to go left" like from the Cars movie, and does power slides around corners with the matchbox cars....

Mainly CARS in our house!!! Cars all day long!
However, he has a train table/set that he loves and he loves to pretend cook, play with his playdoh and "fix" everything with his tools...
Other likes are his Little People sets and drawing on his art easle.

So glad all the boys are into cars! I thought my DH had my son in training!!
Andrew also loves to play "kitchen" with his new kitchen, I am always being made hot dogs!! He also loves to draw, he can sit for hours with plain paper and a box of crayons and draws pictures. And he also has a talking cash register with real price scanner that he loves to check the price of anything with a bar code on it!

When he was a toddler it was an "Instruction worker" (construction worker). He would walk around with his tool belt & "fix" things, cars came afterwards. Later he was more interested in superheroes (Spiderman, Superman mainly). I was told the facination with superheroes starts when they become aware of danger, strangers, etc. because they want to protect themselves.
Now it's all about knights, castles, Star Wars with an occasional superhero or soldier in the mix.
eta. of course there are extra points if he can handcuff his sister & "under arrest" her.

Funnily enough, Noah loves to zoom his cars across the room! And he is only 1!
