Moms of little girls...
At what age did you take your DD to the nail salon with you?
I want to get a mani today. Emily would probably love getting her toe nails painted. I wouldn't have them cut/file her toes --- I do that for her...but is she too young to go there and get painted? She is 2.5.

I would bring her, I took Madison yesterday (of course she did not get anything done yet) but there was a 3 yera old getting her nails painted.

if she will sit for you take her! I would love for Emily to come along with me - she likes getting her nails painted but she's too wild just yet for her to sit patiently in the salon
But I'm looking forward to being able to take her in the future

I would take her and let her get her nails painted. I'm not saying let her have her own manicure, but it can be a fun little thing for her.
I actually did DD's nails with sparkly polish while in Israel a few weeks ago. My MIL had a ton of colors, and she was interested in it.

I brought my DD last summer when she was 2.5 and she LOVED it! I let her get a mani and pedi with me. It was at her request that I took her and she sits good when getting it done too. I say take her!

Alex has had 2 manis already thanks to Grandma.
They just gently filed, put a warm towel on her hands, polished & put flowers on her nails (I know, SO tiny!!!). She absolutely LOVED it! Didn't take her eyes off the ladies & was just in awe, held perfectly still- very serious business for a 2 year old.
She sat under the dryers too!
I think both places charged around $6 -I thought that was kind of nuts for a 5 minute mani for a 2 year old but whatever- her enjoyment made it worth every penny.

Well, I ended up taking her! She loved it. I had already cut her nails this past weekend so I told them just to paint. She picked out a very bright pink color (totally opposite of what mommy likes!) and they painted both her fingernails and toe nails.
She has been talking about it all afternoon and showing everyone.
She loved all the attention she got! All the ladies in the nail salon were making a big fuss over her, and she was being shy but sweet.
The most amazing thing is that she sat so still for it and was so well behaved. I was expecting her to run around like a lunatic but she was very good and kept telling me "shh mommy, we has to be quiet!" which I didn't even tell her myself so who knows where she got that from!

we had such a nice day. after we also went and picked daddy up and had a picnic over near republic airport so we could watch the planes landing and taking off while we ate. there is a little picnic table area over there that i only discovered about a week ago.

we go about once a week (we had pedicures today and she picked the UGLIEST green color - but it still looks cute on her!!)
She is amazing. She sits like such a good girl - and its bonding time for us!!!

I think I started brining my girls at about 3. They didnt cut them but the did "file" them a bit (more for fun..KWIM?) and did the whole hand lotion too...

As long as they aren't cutting and are good with her where she isn't scared of them touching her, I'd say bring her. I wanted to go for a ped. ysterday (which I didn't  ) and my DH actually suggested taking my DD who is almost 4. She's had her nails done before at Libby Lu and was a natural with waving the hands to let them dry. The only issue I could see with bringing her is if you are able to allow yours to dry completely with her there. Nothing's worse than leaving a pedicure and ruining the paint job 1 minute out of the salon.

Not to impose another question here, but for Moms that take their DD's on their own to get their nails done:
You can get a pedi and DD gets her nails done too? I'd love to get a pedi today & just wondering what DD will do while I'm sitting there, any advice/suggestions would be helpful...
