Moms of boy-Circumsion ?

I just got back from ped for DS since it seemed he might have had a rash on his penis. It ends up he has penile adhesions. He will have to have it "pulled" open the ped said. Anyone experience this with their DS? What should i expect at the appointment.

My son had it done at 1 years old. We saw Dr. Hanna in Great Neck for it (and saw Dr. Palmer and Brock in Lake Success for other issues).

As far as the appointment went, he was first examined by the doctor and we were told his adhesions were pretty severe, and worst case was that if it couldnt be done in office with some numbing cream, he would have to have a small surgical procedure to fix it.

So the doc put numbing cream on it, we waiting about 30 minutes in the waiting room, and then we were called back in. DH and I were more freaked than DS was. We had to hold him down, which was the hardest part, and the doc took what looked like a Q-tip and started working on it (at which point I looked away). And about 1 or 2 minutes later, he was done, and we were on his way. Everything worked out fine. We were told to put vaseline on him every diaper change until his turtleneck went away. We eventually stopped putting the vaseline on him once he was out of diapers!
