mirena uses- tmi question
I got the mirena last month and got my first period 15 days ago. I am still bleeding! It's not heavy but come on now! I have a call in to the dr. but I wanted to know what your experience was.

when i got mirena, i bled for about the first 6 weeks. exactly like you- not heavy, but annoying. my doc said it was completely normal. after that my periods still came every month, but not as heavy. i also only had mirena for 8 months. (i hated it.)

Same here. I got the Mirena put in exactly one month ago. Still bleed every day a little. Not enough for an actual period- but I need a mini pad every day or else...
I am hoping this stops soon and I know what an actual Mirena period is like.

The same happened to me. I had my 'period' for about 6 or 7 weeks and then it stopped.
I got a light period a month and a half later and i havent gotten one since.
Fine by me!!

I bleed lightly every month for about 7-9 days, some days were like 10.
edited to add that i've had it for over 3 years now!

I bled for a good month after I got the Mirena. I am actually spotting again now

I had the oppostite happen. I had my mirena inserted 8 weeks after having DS while I was still nursing. I hadnt resumed a period yet so aside from a tiny bit of spotting the month after I sopped nursing (when he was 6 months) I never had a period again.. Well not until recently when I had it removed to start trying for #3. I hope you stop bleeding soon!

I bled and spotted for about 6 months straight I was about to get it removed and DH begged me to give it 1 more month. Lucky for him it finally stopped by the time the month was up
