Minerals or Grand Cascades??
which one is better if you are not bringing kids? Just want to lounge at pool with frozen drinks, go to nice dinners and a bar/lounge? Is grande worth the extra $? Thanks

I've been to both. GC is more luxurious, but you can use the services of GC if you stay at M. I preferred the room at M because it had a nicer bathroom and a fireplace, but GC was a regular room. So I would get a nicer room at M for less money and then hop over to GC for the day. Oh the tasting dinner was outstanding, but $$$$.

Is this a new policy? In the past I didn't think you could use the facilities at GC (i.e., Biosphere if you were not staying there).
I love GC though. We had a suite there last summer and it was wonderful :)

She has some information wrong. GC is the nicer of the two and definitely more luxurious and adult oriented. GC guests can use all facilities. Minerals guests can not use GC pools or amenities. As for rooms, I find Minerals rooms way more dated. The suites in GC are gorgeous. And the pool at Minerals has WAY more kids. Residents in the area are able to join the gym there and have a pool membership. You won't find that at GC
