We have state farm b/c we have car insurance policies with them and they offered us another 10% off (we have multi-car discount of 10%) and now another 10% for the homeowner's insurance.

i have state farm. They had the best prices. I think Met Home told me they weren't insuring in NY anymore. I could be wrong though...

Neither. I had state farm for car insurance years ago but I've always gotten the best quotes from Liberty Mutual (car and home insurance NOT jewelry). I just added another property and got the "welcome" call today.
I use them for my personal residence and car insurance too.
I just call the (800) number but do have one agent's contact name/number:
