This seems to be an difficult thing to find. Finding a photographer who does the style photos you want. I just found a link to a photographers site tonight that I want to call.

I looooooooooove taking maternity pics - there are SO many different approaches to it.

When trying to find someone you need to know your style - do you want more artsy shots, traditional, color, black and white, etc. OR do you want all the above for a nice mix. When are you due? That may be a factor as well - cold weather babies will need to be taken inside.....warmer weather kids can be done inside, beach, park, or wherever.

A lot of the people I"ve taken pics for didn't want bare belly - so we didn't do it. Others showed it off and some went topless (of course covered up and tasteful). All the pics were beautiful regardless of what they wore and didn't wear. At the end of the day its all about making you comfortable and doing what makes you feel beautiful and special.

Meet with some photographers - your wedding photographer, a photographer that you have been dying to work with but haven't had a chance. This is your opportunity to sit down and discuss what you are looking for and get a feel for them.

With maternity photos I really think you need to love who you're working with - its a very intimate session and truly a special time. You really want someone who is going to take their time with you and be just as excited about taking your pictures as you are.
