March Mommies check in!

How is everyone feeling?
Baby moving around lots?
When is your next appt, and when do you get your next sono?

Also: What have you done so far, furniture? nursery?
And what else do you need to do?

Dr. sees me again at 30 weeks and we start appts every 2 weeks from there. No word as to next sono, and I really want one!

I have been so achy in my back and pelvis, and shopping isn't any fun anymore, used to do non-stop all day excursions now I need a break every hour.
Had some m/s last night, ended really ugly. Its not bad enough to go back on zofran, yet. I really hope I don't need that stuff anymore. Minor things overall making me so uncomfortable. But at least I learned to relax enough to sleep and have an agreement with DH that I can wake him up in the middle of the night for massage if I can't sleep Chat Icon

So far only my belly has been getting bigger, but this week I noticed my pants tight in the hips Chat Icon I'm hoping its just bones that are widening.

Baby is kicking, elbowing, punching, and lately he's been twirling and spinning and pushing his butt out to my belly button, its like some kind of danceChat Icon . DH thinks I'm crazy but I really think I can tell what body part I'm feeling. Can anyone else tell what they are feeling?

ETA: I picked out a crib and stroller finally and can't decide on much else, or have done much else than started reading some birthing books/videos and listening to hypno birthing tapes. I have so much to do Chat Icon

I am feeling good, just tired but what else is new Chat Icon

Just went last night to the Dr and had my glucose test. Hopefully the results will be good like when I had DD. I have to go every 2 weeks now which I am not thrilled about.

The baby has been moving alot and I've noticed a awake/asleep pattern. I was on the train home Tuesday night and felt like we were playing-he/she was kicking and I would push back, I was so in love Chat Icon Not sure about what I was feeling-I always call it a foot though.

Some mornings I wake up and feel like I have been riding a horse all night and my lower back hurts more often. I am getting bigger and have trouble bending over now.

Everything is healthy and now that I am in my 3rd tri I can't wait for my little one to arrive Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: March Mommies check in!

Hey! I just got back from NY-my shower was Sunday and it was so much fun. Miss Bean has quite the wardrobe, and some cool new Uggs thanks to our own headoverheels (LB) and maybeamommy (Hayley) Chat Icon Chat Icon .

I have my next sono on Monday, as well as my next OB. I will be 29 weeks Sunday. I now go every two weeks! Chat Icon

We have to pre-register for the hospital and the tour and interview some pediatricians. I also have to make an appointment with the anesthesiologist so we can figure out whether I can get an epi or whether I have to go for a C under general.

My back is killing me and I am very swollen, which my SIL felt necessary to point out to me both at my shower and again in front of DH's entire family. I also started coughing this morning, and I hope I am not getting sick.

Miss Bean still is kicking very low and sometimes it feels like she is crawling in there!!! It is funny how she has a pattern-3pm is her naptime! She loves orange juice!

Our crib is being delivered Jan 4th and we are starting to set things up now. I am probably holding off on the nursery for now, but we are going to think about it. I have to start getting our cats used to the fact there will be a baby!

Re: March Mommies check in!

Hello!!

I’m feeling ok. Starting to get really uncomfortable though. I have to get up every like 30 mins or so at my desk to walk around and stretch out a bit. Then walking starts to bother me and I have to sit down lol
I noticed now that if I walk for long lengths of time, it feels like my back is going to break in half!! Ugh it's painful

I had my 1 hr test yesterday (let's pray that I pass!!) Then the doc did a quick sono to see if the baby is still breech, which she's not. So that's good. She wasn't moving much the first few days of this week, so since she's turned she's been non stop :) I gained a crap load of weight in the last 4 weeks, so now I'm taking extra precaution to start eating A LOT healthier than I have been.

My next appt is Jan 6th for my first growth sono!! I'm sooo excited. I can't believe how fast the time is going. Then my appts are every 2 weeks.

Now if I could just get DH to start on the damn nursery!!

Re: March Mommies check in!

I am feeling great! I was so worried that I was going to have to deal with this awful back pain and cramping for the prest of the pregnancy but it turns out that it was just a UTI - it may be mental but I'm feeling better already Chat Icon

The baby is moving around like crazy. She never sits still! Totally not like my DS who was only really active at night.

I just found out I passed the 1 hour glucose test. Chat Icon

My next appointment is 1/6 (31 weeks), and after that it's every 2 weeks. I will have to schedule my growth sono for 36 weeks.

I am up about 9-10 lbs, which is great for me - I think I was up over 20 lbs at this point with DS!

Some days I feel huge, other days I feel small. I cannot give myself pedicures anymore Chat Icon or put on/take off my own shoes Chat Icon

Other than that I really feel great. Chat Icon

ETA: We have NOTHING for the baby yet. No name, no furniture, and the nursery is a mess. I'm not even going to think about any of it until after the new year!!

Re: March Mommies check in!

Hello March ladies!

Let's see...

I am 29 weeks today and home with a cold. This is my second bad cold this pregnancy! Last time I rushed to the Dr. and sat in the waiting room for like an hour with a million sickies to do flu and strep tests, all which were neg., so this time I am just riding it out.

I passed my glucose, Yay!!! I actually didn't throw up which was pretty awesome. I haven't been having m/s as bad at all anymore. I don't know if it's been taken over by cold symptoms, lol. All I know is I hope it is gone for good b/c 27 weeks of morning sickness is ENOUGH.

Oh but at that same appt. I was told to lay off the Cheetos. I've gained 21lbs overall, which he said wasn't BAD, but it's not good that 12 of them were in the last 6 weeks. So I've been making a big effort since then to eat healthy... I know it is so much better for the baby anyway but geez it's so hard, haha.

My pelvis is a disaster. I got a belt and wore it twice. I hate it, lol. The worst times as far as my pelvis goes are putting on pants and getting in and out of bed and the car. I read to try and do these things without separating ur legs as much as possible- so I'm trying, even though it makes me look like a 90 year old woman...

Nursery is coming along. The furniture is here but the crib is not set up. We need to do that soon though b/c I also have to get my cats used to it. We have one coat of paint done and then stopped because I decided I hated the border/bedding theme I picked out. I changed to something else, registered for it, but purchased the border myself. It had a similar green in it so I was crossing my fingers that when it came we could just slap that 2nd coat of paint on and not have to change it. Luckily it worked out perfect! Oh except for the slapping of the paint, lol. The can has been sitting there for like a month...

We also have a name! Luca. It was a long road but we're final now. It just felt right from the beginning and it was the only name we liked more and more each day instead of me thinking of 10,000 reasons why it's stupid or how kids would make fun of it, lol.

My next Dr. appt is Jan 9th and that will also be my first growth sono, at 31w. My Dr. does 2 growth sonos which was a pleasant surprise since he hasn't been the type at all to be super free with the sonos. I guess he was saving them, lol. We also have one more 3d session left that I think I will do like 2 weeks after the first growth sono.

At my 20w and at my 24w 3d the baby was already on his head so I am hoping he hasn't turned... We'll see. Jan 3rd I start my Bradley method course. It's every Sunday night for 6 weeks. I will be so mad if I end up getting a C-section after all that, lol.

Anyway, we are so in the home stretch...

Re: March Mommies check in!

I will be 27wks tomorrow. I am SO uncomfortable!!! My pelvis is in so much pain (has been for awhile but getting worse). I'm at the point were I'm crying and moaning in pain. Yes I feel like a baby. With my 1st Chat Icon I was in pain but not like this. I am already starting to have Braxton Hicks contractions. My doc had to check me Monday to make sure that I wasn't already dilating...that would've been scary if I was Chat Icon

My next appointment isn't until 1/15. I don't have anymore u/s set up. I asked if I'd have another one and she said no not unless they were concerned about the baby's size Chat Icon I want to see my little one again so I was a little discouraged.

Chat Icon is already head down and I hope he stays that way. He's kicking all around...I love it!!!

Re: March Mommies check in!

I am 26w1d and have been feeling a little uncomfortable for the past week or so but nothing too bad. Chat Icon is very active, always kicking, punching, twirling and I love every minute of it!

I recently failed both the 1 and 3 hour glucose tests and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes so I was put on a modified diet and have to monitor my blood 4 times a day Chat Icon but I'm very happy to report that my blood levels have been so good that I'm starting to wonder if the 1 and 3 hour tests were wrong!

As for getting ready for baby, DH is home prepping the nursery to be painted so we should probably have that done in the next week or so. I also started Bradley classes two weeks ago and it's pretty interesting and helpful so far.

Next on our list is ordering the furniture!

Re: March Mommies check in!

I'm actually starting to feel better. My m/s is finally waning and I've only gotten sick a handful of times since Thanksgiving.

I went for my 28 week appt this past Monday and I had a sono b/c at the 20 week one they could not get good pics of the heart. Well they still couldn't b/c her heart was right under my belly button and there were too many shadows. I start going every 2 weeks now and I think I get one more sono around 36 weeks to check the baby's size.

Chat Icon is moving less than DD#1 did but it's a lot more painful. She likes to hang out up in my ribs and do somersaults.

I'm still at -2lbs for this pg, but I'm sure after all the holidays I'll have gained weight.

My pelvic bones are absolutely killing me. It hurts so much to get up from sitting, to walk when I first get up, to turn over in bed.

So far we only bought new bottles for DD#2. She will be using Kaydyn's crib so we bought a toddler bed for Kaydyn. I got a bassinet from one of the girls on the parenting board and another pack and play for my ILs from another girl. I still have a lot of odds and ends to finish up.

Re: March Mommies check in!

Christmas Eve starts my 3rd trimester...love the second trimester so much and a little sad to see it go but excited that Chat Icon will be here in 3 months! DS #1s big boy room is almost done and he actually slept in there for a nap today. Next is the baby's room but I only need to do some minor things in there so that will wait until January.

Tested out the Baby Trend Double Sit & Stand...it's a keeper so I am gathering all of my coupons, gift cards and rewards to grab that next week.

Then on to a few other items like monitor and car seat. So much easier having most of the stuff I need already..especially clothing.

Have my next appt on Monday and I have to take the 1-hour glucose. For some strange reason I feel like I won't pass but I am okay with it...it is what is and I'll do whatever I need to do...maybe even lose some weight Chat Icon Chat Icon

Tummy can't take as much at meal time anymore so it's more like snacking...I like that part though cause there is no time to eat anyway. Feeling Chat Icon kick all day long and loving it. unlike my first son, this guy seems to move around a lot more so I feel low kicks (DS #1 was head down for a very long time in my 2nd trimester all the way to delivery). Also feel him up in my rib area.. never experienced that discomfort before. Chat Icon

Otherwise doing well...can't believe I'm in double digits! Oh and the hospital sent my packet....this is all going so fast!

Re: March Mommies check in!

Hey March Mommies!

I am 26 weeks and 4 days today. Took a belly pic yesterday too!
External Image

I actually feel really ok. My only killer pregnancy symptom is heartburn. Unreal, uncontrollable heartburn!!! I pop Tums Smoothies like candy!

I kinda can't believe the second trimester is coming to a close.

DH and I have the nursery all painted, and the floors refinished. Now it's time to start getting furniture and start decorating! I've been getting the nesting itch already, so I am so excited to get started.

I have my Level 1, first rhogham shot, and my 1 hour glucose test on New Years Eve. Talk about ringing in the new year!

Re: March Mommies check in!

Well I was always the person who loved being pregnant, and could never understand why some people hated it so much.

Well, now I know. I feel crappy every day and everything gets on my nerves. My children have really been acting up - alot - and the fighting, yelling and non-stop attitude from dd is really starting to push me over the edge. I can actually say that yesterday, for the first time, I said to my husband that I wish we werent having another girl Chat Icon I LOVE my dd soooo much, but as she is getting older, she is getting harder and harder, where my son is getting easier and easier.

My legs are always restless and its so uncomfortable. If I try to stretch them, the muscles knot up, so there is no relief. The heartburn is unbearable, the BH contractions are neverending.

I want this pregnancy to end and I dont know if I ever want to be pregnant againChat Icon

I feel "ok". I am not as nauseas this week which is good-indigestion is bad though...I live on TUMS. BH contractions are all the time and very annoying! I am also overcome with this sluggish lazy I don't want to get up feeling..legs are restless and back hurts at night.

Baby moves all day...especially after I eat...kicking, punching, somersaults...a lot of moving. Mid-day is calm though. Last appt baby's head was very low so hopefully it will stay like that until the end!

I recently switched doctors and I am so happy with the new practice...Next appt is Jan 12th-no more sonos scheduled..I don't think...The lab messed up my glucose test results and switched them so I have to do that again! So aggrevated...

Bought furniture and it should be delivered end of January. Painting is scheduled for either 1st or 2nd weekend in January. Just need to buy both beddings but won't do that until after shower with gift cards. Other than that just waiting.

I am very anxious to get to the end and excited as well.

Re: March Mommies check in!

Hi March Mommies Chat Icon

This is my first time posting in a month
thread because I am due between Feb-21-Mar 1 but I want to belong somewhere so I am claiming March for now! Although I think Chat Icon will come in Feb (he is sooo ready!)

Well so far I failed my 1 hr glucose test and had to see a nutritionist Chat Icon I'd gained 9 lbs in one month (which I think was water weight)! So I started the diabetic diet and after taking the 1 hr again I was borderline high again! Chat Icon So I convinced my OB that I will follow the diet Chat Icon and Im on every 2 week visits anyways..so I am not taking the 3 hr (I just cant) we are just assuming that it would be abnormal and taking it from here.

Otherwise, the pelvic pain has continued to get worse and since my insurance has changed I am considering Renew Ptx as suggested by a great member here! I cant lay on my side, turn over in bed, or walk regularly sometimes Chat Icon Somehow I've gotten used to it, but I am worried how it will affect my delivery?

My last ultrasound was interesting Chat Icon is well over 3 lbs 13 oz and doubled over tickling his own feet! He has a head full of hair already and the tech said he has squeezed every extremity into the smallest part of my uterus! They also found a choroid plexus cyst in his brain Chat Icon But the dr's said they usually go away and they are normal...so we have u/s every 2 weeks! I was very sensitive about this but have moved to the fact that God is good and Chat Icon will be just fine! Everything happens for a reason and from what Ive read online these cysts are nothing to be alarmed about.

Chat Icon is moving and squirming up a storm! I know he is uncomfortable now, and many times we can see he butt poking out right under my rib cage Sometimes its amazing to see him squirm from one side of my belly over my belly button...to the other side! DH is amazed as well!

I am trying to drink more water because I went to the hospital a few weeks ago with what I thought was contractions but they said I was just dehydrated, so Ive been trying to drink more!

The nursery doesnt look like much right now, we got one item off the registry so far and DH spent all night assembling the swing! So thats as far s we have gotten so far. I dont think we will paint due to the fumes, so I will start to look for curtains and wall decals after the holidays.

The shower is set for Jan 23 and we are taking our childbirth class and hospital tour Jan 9.
I cant believe how time is flying!
Well wishes to you all...we are almost there!
