Re: making food in ice cube trays

Honestly, if you're making your own food, which is all I did, you need to start thinking just interms of what he wants, not how much is right. When he stops eating, he's full. That was always my theory. THinking about it in terms of stage one or stage two, etc. is just a company imposed amount. You'll eventually get to know that he can eat three cubes, or whatever. It's a little bit of trial and error, but I think it's good because you learn to read your child's hunger signs and signs of being full. HTH!

i totally agree with this, you will get a sense of how much is enough, but in the beginning, i was the type of person that needed measurements, "just to be sure!"

so if you are the same way, you can measure your cubes. my cubes are 2 tablespoons each, which is about 1 ounce.

I agree as well.

I just started with 2 cubes and upped it till he told me he was full.

Hes 9 months now and eats about 5 cubes at a meal with some other stuff.
