Making baked ziti in advance- have a few questions-

My in-laws are coming and I was going to make baked ziti, since it's simple (and MIL does not want me to cook at all- she thinks it's too much trouble, though I am excited to do it)

Anyway, they will already be here when I get home from work on Wednesday. I want to have as much done in advance as possible. The sauce will be made. Should I:

- make the pasta the night before and stick it in the fridge, then assemble everything the day of?
- assemble the whole thing with the pasta, sauce and cheeses and keep it in the fridge?
- assemble it, cook it, then refridgerate it and cook it the day of?
- other?

TIA!

One of these
-assemble the whole thing with the pasta, sauce and cheeses and keep it in the fridge?
- assemble it, cook it, then refridgerate it and cook it the day of?

Cooking it first, and then again the day of will dry it out a litte though.

If you have the time I woudl assemble and then refrigerate and cook the day of. Easiest way to do ahead of time!

Re: Making baked ziti in advance- have a few questions-

you could totally prepare it and cook it that evening OR cook it in advance and warm it up. Serve with a salad and some garlic bread!
