Making a GIft Basket for a Newly Pregnant Friend -
Hi Ladies - Sorry to hijack your board - But I need some help -
I just found out a good friend is pregnant and I wanted to do something for her - I have never been pregnant so I don't know what I could put in this gift basket (I'd like to make it about her (and maybe DH) but not the baby yet) ........So maybe like, mani/pedi stuff a subscription to a parenting magazine, books ??
Would you mind giving me some ideas ?? TIA !!

You're on the right track. I hate doing my own nails though so I would go for a gift certificate. Some nice body lotions, nutritious snacks. Some people don't like getting things for the baby too early on so you may want to do stuff for her. If you know she doesn't mind, the baby books are a great idea, diaper ointment, pacifiers, baby magazines, I Love Mommy/Daddy bibs, etc.

Pregnancy Books...A great one is "baby bargains". Or "pregnancy, week by week"
Preggo Pops, you can get them from any maternity store. They are candy to help with morning sickness.
Hallmark sells pregnancy journals and calendars that are cute.
