Looking for a new Pediatrician on the South Shore plus a vent
I am finished with Ava's pediatrician.......he's such a rude jerk.....actually I have other choice words for him but they would be blocked out so i'll just stick with rude jerk for now. Anyway, ever since we refused to have her get the hepatitis B shot when she was a few days old he has just been a jerk to us. Well today DH took her to the dr. for her 1 year well visit and he asked if we would like the optional hep A shot.....so Dh says that he doesn't feel comfortable making that decision with out me so could he call.....the doctor then gets all ****** off, tries to call my cell and then slams the phone down when he gets a busy signal. Then he goes on to tell my DH that he has 2 choices to make and so on......and was yelling at him for not making a decision saying he had other patients to see and didn't have time for this. Now if I was Dh I would have marched right out of the office and told them to start preparing my records to be transfered....but for some reason DH stayed and let Ava get the shot.....then tells DH good luck with the ramifications of telling me that she had the shot. I still can't believe how unprofessional he was.....Who the hell is he to talk to people like that....So anyway, we will not be going back so I need to find a new pediatrcian soon........I need one in Nassau on the South Shore...preferably Affiliated with North Shore Manhasset. Thanks for letting me vent!

What an a-hole! Who is he? I use a pedi in New Hyde PArk- not sure where you are located, but I like him a lot. You need to find someone who is supportive of your immunization concerns/choices.

We go to a practice on Newbridge Rd in Bellmore that has Dr. Oppenheimer, Dr. Marchitelli, Dr. Korn & Dr. Fasano as well as a few nurse practioners and a physican's assistant. Several other families on here go there too, I've had no complaints, I've seen all 4 doctors and one nurse practioner.

Our pediatrician, Dr. Oppenheimer, is located in Bellmore and is associated with North Shore Manhasset. It's a group practice and I love all of the doctors and the office. Phone number is (516) 781-9898.

We use them too. I love them. I like Dr. Andy the best and so does my daughter. SHe aleady know who is cute  .

We use them too - Dr Andy *SIGH*  Ive seen all the drs and the NPs as well and am very happy with all. I know they are affliated with LIJ, not sure about North Shore though. When my son was sick, they sent me to LIJ

How awful! Would you mind at least giving the initials of who this guy is?
I use Jeffrey Silverstein on Merrick Ave. I like him a lot so far. He was sensitive about the immunization issue. I didn't want the shots on the CDC schedule but now it looks like I'll be putting DD in day care for half the week so I have no choice.

Add 2 more patients of this group. In the 3+ years I've seen them, I've only complained about the wait time, but I think that might be anywhere. 
They are affiliated w/ NSUH-Manhasset. That's where I had my 2nd. (my 1st was born @ LIJ).

We go to Rainbow Pediatrics in RVC. I'm not sure if they're affiliated with North Shore since they're on the south shore but you could find out.

Thanks for all of your recommendations....I am going to look into them. For those that asked about Ava's ped....the practice is in Hewlett on broadway.......the doctors initials are CB
