Its wrong and sad......but that dosent speak for all cops.

Some are dirty, Most aren't.

Cops should be held to a higher standard

if you take an oath to protect and serve and then violate that oath- the sentance should be double that of a "civilian" maybe that would cut down on abuse of power

I agree with this....if the punishment for harming a civil servant is more strick, the punishment for THEM breaking the law should be more strict too, IMHO

I 100% agree! I love how some of them, not all of them but some of them think because they are cops they cn do what they want.

its stories like this that make my husband's job that much harder. i swear crooked cops make me want to vomit!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

they screw it up for the honest ones--like DH


ETA: i know this doesn't make it MUCH better--but at least this guy wasn't an active duty cop -- he was a cop for only 3 yrs, up until early in 2007. so he was no longer NYPD when he was arrested. although i wouldn't be surprised if he was doing it when he was a cop...but still.
