Is LIJ in Huntington? If so, my SIL is a labor nurse there and she has raved at how wonderful the staff is and caring they are. she loves working there because of the doctors and nurses take pride in their patients.

I delivered there and it was great they gave me a private room after delivery and I didn't even ask, but I was on a different floor since my boys were in the NICU.

I delivered there 3 1/2 weeks ago. No major complaints. There was 1 daytime (post pardum) nurse that was amazing. Everyone else was good.
I had a c-section & my "delivery" nurse was great too.
We shose not to have a private room, could not justify the cost ($500/day). I had the bed closest to the door which was great b/c there was more room, but the circulation was horrible. The a/c unit is by the window and my roomate kept it low, and I was always warm. DH brought me a fan to have on, especially at night when the door to the room was closed.
Overall, no major complaints.

The Labor and Delivery nurses at Huntington are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
