Lets talk toys for infants..

ok...I have a bouncer, nothing fancy, the lamb swing, the infant toddler rocker...

The lamb swing's batteries die ALL the time...the bouncer doesn't do much, there's no music.etc,

The rocker is new, so not sure how he likes it.

Should I return the rocker and get a bigger bouncie?

What other thing do you recommend for an infant???

The jumperoo, and exersaucer, we cant use yet, right? Ds is 7 weeks...

DS lived in the swing until about 5 months! He also loves (still does) the newborn-toddler rocker. We were happy with the rocker. DS started using the excersaucer at around 4 months.

Re: Lets talk toys for infants..

What about a playmat? My DS LOVES his playmat! He liked it when he was younger, about 8 weeks, and when he got to 3 months, it became his favorite! The swing is great, bouncy it depends, my DS went through phases when he liked it and didn't.

Do you have a playmat?
My kids LOVE(d) theirs.
We have the Lamb swing too.
Batteries seem to last a while.
The infant toddler/rocker was a hit as well.

What kind of bouncer do you have? DS has a kick and play one and he LOVES it.

Definitely a playmat-I had the black and white gymini one. Also try and get a swing that plugs in-I had the rainforest swing and that was awesome-my kids even slept in their swings some nights! You can probably get one used for $50 or so. The seat fabric comes off so you can wash it.

Tiny Love Mobile! The only way I got anything done until about 3 months lol.

Also, the playmat, glow-worm (which I kept on the changing table in case I needed to distract) and the little hanging rattles from the car seat.

DD didn't really become interested in any other toys until about 3/ 3.5 months. Now, she is grabbing everything, batting at things and loving the exersaucer! She didn't even really like books that early and now at 4.5 months will laugh when I read to her. OH- someone also gave her this worm from Fisher Price that rolls and plays music and has a mirror on it- for Tummy Time. I really think that helped her stay on her belly longer - and roll from tummy to back!
