Let's talk buying toys - do you get them on sale?

Do you use coupons?
Do you try to catch sales before Christmas?

TIA

Most of the time I do not get them on sale.

Last Christmas I made out at Kohls online though - I think every toy was about 50% off.

Other than that - no sales for me - if I want it for him - I buy it!

I made out like a bandit at the same Kohl's online sale last year too. Maybe they'll have it again? I also did really well at an Amazon sale last year too-- everything I got was at least 40% off, most were more like 50% off.

Re: Let's talk buying toys - do you get them on sale?

I buy them on clearance or sale.

The funny thing about Kohls is that the "regular" price on their toys is about 40% higher than what they are at say Target or Walmart. So the sale seems great with 50% off, but it's not unless you have a Kohls charge and use their coupons. I'm actually surprised they can get away with the way they price their things.

There was a toy we planned on buying DS for Christmas and just this week saw it on clearance. Now it sits in his closet, waiting to be wrapped. Chat Icon

I never noticed it either and I'm pretty good with pricing things out. I'll check it out again this Christmas!

I found a LOT of great things at super low prices at Marshall's also!

When I bought my dress for DD's baptism, I looked in the baby section and was absolutely Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon at the prices!

They had Baby Sac diaper bags - the big ones - for $10! Which I have to pick up for when I need a spare (like now!).... I had to send my bag back to JJ Cole for exchange... The bag came apart at the seams, and they are replacing for free.... luckily, I was able to borrow my BFF's smaller one that she hardly uses.

Reminder to self: Constantly go back there to window shop....
