LASIK report! i did it!
ok...so it is DONE!
let me tell you...i hae a high tolerance for pain/etc...this was uncomfortable! and when i left, my eyes were burning and tearing a lot.
i decided to go home and just close my eyes. i just woke up (surgery ended at 5) and i feel great! slightly uncomfortable, thats all...and i can SEE!!!! so amazing.
if you asked me 5 hours ago what i thought, id hesitate to say do it...but now...YES!

I equated mine to seeing thru a cleanly washed window after the plastic lenses were removed! You can see what real color looks like. It's truly amazing! Congrats!!

That surgery is my dream! May be one day I will be able to go through with it!
Did you have to go through some kind of evaluation to see if you are good candidate?

How much does it cost? Insurance doesn't cover any of it? I would so love to give up these glasses (I *hate* wearing contacts), although I just got a new pair for $400 last week.

I can't remember the exact #, but it was bad enough that if you stood more than 4 feet from me, I couldn't see your face clearly.

I think mine was 20/800 and I had astigmatism in one eye and night blindness. Now I'm in a whole new world! It fixed everything!!!
