Lancaster, PA - alternative to a hotel

I was looking for some nice weekend getaways and my friend, who works for a PA travel magazine, recommended a farmstay in Lancaster, PA. It looks like a great, fun alternative to staying in a hotel, so I wanted to pass the info along:

I feel like such a jerk!

I like the idea of this in theory, but after looking at the pictures of the rooms I would never stay in these places-I need the newness of a recently built or renovated hotelChat Icon

Thanks for sharing. I just took a look at some of the rooms on some of the farms and I think they are really decent and the prices are great.

We just booked a similar place near Hershey - it looks great and has all five star reviews.

Crashing
My family did this when I was younger. It was a great experience. I fed the calves and did other small farm chores, and we ate breakfast with the family every day. No it is not a relaxing hotel experience, but it is a unique experience for an urban/suburban child.
