Ladies who put travel system on registry...
Were you also able to put extra bases on your regisrty, I don't think my system has it avaliable at BRU...

Which system do you have? I registered for the Graco Quattro Tour. We haven't put the bases on yet, but I am pretty sure graco snugride extra base goes with the infant carrier.

I registered for the Eddie Bauer one, I did notice that the graco snugrider did have the base you can buy... Thanks

I had the Eddie Bauer one and there was a form in the instruction booklet where you can order another base.

Do you know of anyone who would let you borrow their extra base??
We didn't want to waste a 40 dollar gift from someone on another base especially when in most cases we take my car everywhere and Dh was going away. So I asked a friend and she gladly lent me hers. I only used the infant seat for 3 months before Jack outgrew it so it worked out perfect and if the "friend" needed it back in most cases your baby would be out of the base by time she would need it.
She was happy to get it out of her garage for a few months and I was happy to save some extra $$.
There are so many things that new mom's could share and I don't know why more don't.
If I still lived up on LI I would totally have tried working out something similar to the swap I do down here with the other military mom's in my area.

our Quattro comes with one base but we did not register for the 2nd base, since the car I'll drive is our family car. I doubt she'll ever be in DH car

I got one base with my Quattro system and then i went on ebay on won another one for 14 bucks. Its the same exact one and in awesome condition. I'm all about Ebay.
