I love the radio flyer rocketship from toys r us, 109 bucks to ship, its 49 dollars for it i think...also a share of stock in disney is nice...my parenst got my son 15 shares of coca cola for his christening....i though it was a great idea...i have my own stock in 3m from my christening...

How about a bead maze. DS received one for his 1st birthday and still plays with it a year later. It is $50.

My best friend in CA just had her DS 1st birthday. She asked that instead of toys that people bring books. I ended up sending him 5 different books.
I always like to either get books or clothes since everyone usually has so many toys already.

My new gift for first birthdays is going to be a small toy or book and a gift certificate to somewhere like Stride Rite.
Shoes are so expensive and they grow out of them so quickly
