Ladies I need some help RE: my son's 1st Birthday Party...
I plan on having it outdoors in my parents backyard if the weather permits.
Now should I rent tents anyway incase it does rain? How far in advance would I have to do it? I mean I only want to rent them if I know it's going to rain so I hope I don't have to do it a few weeks in advance. Also for ordering tables and chairs, how far in advance should that be done.
I will also be needing names and phone numbers of a couple of places...

Well, I can tell you that all the places I called except one had any available for Memorial Day weekend and beyond they said they are soo booked with Graduations, etc.
I would def do it now!!

I don't have any numbers (I love in Westchester) but I would go ahead and order the tables and chairs pretty early, just to get it out of the way, and inquire about the tents. We had a tent for my e-party and they delivered it 2 days before the party, so they may need some advance notification.

Do a search on the entire board for tents.
I was asking on every board when I was planning DD christening.
When you do a search - you will find alot of company names.

I am praying it doesn't rain on saturday when I have my DS's party. It's outdoors too. I just used AAA Party Rentals for tables and chairs. I just ordered them about a week ago and they had them for this weekend. They were really nice too. I'll let you know how they do this weekend! You could always call and ask about their cancellation if you it doesn't rain and you don't need the tents.

We've used AAA party rentals also. For a couple of previous parties and her upcoming one as well.

I just used All in One rental this past weekend. They were very reasonable.
Do a search on my name. I did a few threads about them and responses.

I just called AAA Party Rentals and they said in order for me to have the tents the ground has to be dirt or grass. Which I don't. They suggested I look for a place more local.
Makes no sense...

If you have concrete - there is nothing to keep the tent up.
But maybe I justy don't know about them - I just know I have never seen anything that doesn't have the stakes in the ground
