Lactation Consultant..please recommend who you used?
Still having troube with DD. Did anyone use a lactation consultant they really liked and had success with? I would love their name and number.

Lauren Macaluso in New Hyde Park is a LC. I found her great and she accepts insurance since she is a MD as well.

i used Dr jennifer Shaer riverhead pediatrics - we saw her in plainview -she is a pediatrician and a lactation consultant - if you are having trouble latching because your child tongue tied i would recomend her
my ped would say he does not need to be snipped and the lactation consultant would say he needed to be clipped
i wanted someone who could do the procedure and say yes or no tio clipping that understood breast feeding - she ended helping me latch him without clipping
he was tongue tied a level 2 out of 4 with 1 the most tngue tied

i am actually meeting with her tomorrow. she is coming to my house! i was so despondent when i called today begging for a sooner appt (i was originally scheduled for this upcoming tuesday). i am very excited she is making a house call, although it is not covered by insurance. but it is worth it!
