Label for child to wear first two weeks of Kindergarten
Our teacher assignment came with a tag with a short string for you to write Child's name, classroom #, teacher, and bus # or walker. It says they should "wear" it for the first two weeks of school. The string isn't long enough to be worn around the neck... never mind the strangulation hazard... LOL But where exactly would your child "wear" this? My husband said belt loop, which sounds resonable (I have DS), but not all his clothes have belt loops and I would think a lot girl clothes wouldnt' have belt loops. Backpack?? But that won't ALWAYS be on them...

We have to use a simialr tag and I really do not want to safety pin it b/c pins ruin those dry weave/moisture wicking shirts & we have so many of those shirts.

In our school everyone gets them laminated and punches a whole in it and puts it around one of those ID holder necklaces with the hoop at the end like this - we got ours at staples for a couple of bucks...

We also received a label like that that my son (4.5 yrs old) is wearing but the string was long enough to wear around his neck and the label falls right above his waist.
Is another option to tie your own longer string to the label or to the short string so that in the end you have a longer string if you want him to wear it around his neck?

We got one of those and the teacher said to safety pin it to his backpack or anywhere, it wasnt important because she made laminated ones to wear in class and they stay in school.

Loop it around the top of the backpack. I think they only need them from the bus to classroom, classroom to bus.

our came laminated with a hole punched. There were implicit rules not to safety pin to them. I placed it on a lanyard around her neck and it didn't make it past three days.
