Kind of bummed...0 dilated, 0 effaced
I'm due in 2.5 weeks - I had my first internal this morning and she said there's absolutely nothing happening. Baby is still high, no dilation, no effacement. I was really hoping something was starting to happen. Did anyone else have this a few weeks before and still go on or before their due dates???

I was only 1 cm for two weeks and when I got to the hospital, when I was in labor, I was still 1 cm.

I was not dilated or effaced at my 37 week appointment, but my water broke a day later and he was born 3 weeks early. So anything is possible!

I wasnt dialated at all at my 39 week appointment and I went into labor 3 days after that appointment. My doc said that you usual dont dialate until you are in active labor for the first child.

Great to know - thanks! Were you effaced at all and do you know if the baby had dropped?
