Kids will be exactly three years apart, do I get a double stroller?

I'm just not sure if I should spend the money and get a double stroller. I was thinking of getting a sit and stand, but I don't think my DS will like sitting on the little bench. My Ds still sits in a stroller, but don't know how it will be when he is 3. I'm thinking of just going a little cheaper and getting a Graco instead of a Double Bob, or city mini.

Congrats!! My kids are 2.5yrs apart and i got a used one and we literally used it 2 times, so my vote is no. It really depends on your lifestyle.

My kids are 2 yrs apart. We made it 4 months without a double stroller. I think it depends on your lifestyle.

I enjoy going on stroller walks with the kids and we live in a walkable area. We use the double stroller daily.

My kids are almost exactly 3 years apart and I got one. We use it all the time. My older son is slightly big for it and doesn't love it, but it's impossible to have him walk around while I have the baby in a stroller because he will either wander away, in which case I'm running after him with a stroller, or he will complain that he is too tired and wants me to hold him, which I obviously cannot do. We use it for walks around the neighborhood, at the mall, if we go to some kind of fair, etc.

DD was 33 months when DS was born and I got a sit-n-stand. Love it!!! Still use it and DD will be 4 in October.

My DS was 18 months when DD arrived so I had to get a double, but recently we decided to try out a Sit n Stand style stroller because he is going to be 3 and is walking a lot more instead of riding in the stroller. I ended up with the Joovy Ultralight Caboose and so far DS loves it. He can get in an out on his own, he can choose to wear the 3 point harness while sitting or not (he loves to be buckled in no matter what he's in), or he can walk, which he loves to do sometimes. I'm glad we have the regular double for longer trips/days out though.

DD1 and DD2 are 2.5 years apart. We had a double and DD1 rarely wanted to be in it. We have the Ultralight Caboose now and DD1 loves it. She loves the standing or sitting options and loves being able to get on or off by herself.

i say wait until you need/don't need it.

my DD's are 2.5 years apart. i bought a sit-n-stand and used it a handful of times and then gave it away.

i think it depends on your kid, your lifestyle, and time of year (i didn't dare buy anything during the winter because i knew there was no need)...

Depends on the dc. Ds#1 sat in the stroller until 5, so it was very useful to us. Even if one sits in it, I like to use the other side as a holder.

I go with no aas well. My boys are 3y4m apart. DS #1 rarely sits in a stroller now. Even prior to DS#2 being born, we never strapped DS into a stroller and he would just hop in and out at will. Totally not worth it for us. We just did Dutch Wonderland and Hershey with no stroller for DS#1 and he did fine.

My kids are exactly 3 years apart, and I bought a used Sit N' Stand on the Buy/Sell/Swap thread here. Best $40 I ever spent

My older daughter loves to walk and is very good at holding our hands while walking, but the Sit N Stand has come in handy on many occasions. Places like the Bronx Zoo, aquarium, etc where there is a LOT of walking, it really comes in handy. Plus, when I take walks around our neighborhood, she loves to ride in it either sitting or standing. Up until her sister was born she was still in our full-size stroller when we needed it.

I don't love that it doesn't have a snack bar for the front seat though, but we deal

Thanks everyone! I went on the Joovy website and I think one of those strollers might be a good idea.
