Kaui for 4 days - what side of island to stay on?
Hi ladies. We are going to Kauai again this February and planning to stay on Kauai for 4 days. What side of the island do you recommend we stay on? I am leaning towards the South - Popei - it looks more "resorty" and the water looks calmer. Would love all suggestions on where to stay and even recommendation of what to do and where to go while there. THANK YOU!!!

OMG... grand hyatt in kauai. I believe it's South. Great area... located near a lot, calm water and I CANNOT say enough about BEAUTIFUL the resort is. You feel like royalty there.

Hey Maria,
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt (Popui - south side), which is beautiful or you can stay at Princeville, which is also gorgeous and on the North side.
the South side is supposed to be the sunnier side of the island but the north side is more lush and green bc it gets more rain.
It's a pretty small island, so no matter where you stay, you can get to the other end in a couple of hours.
It is gorgeous and you are going to LOVE it!!!!! 
i am so freaking jealous beyond belief.
I have the Kauia Revealed book if you want me to send it to you.
We took this INSANE hike on the Kalalau trail (on the North Side by the Princeville) if you are feeling adventurous.
Oh, and can I come with you?

Such a peaceful island. Loved it!
We stayed at the hotel right near the airport-wish we had been farther away. (I have no idea why our agent put us there). It was a nice resort, but would have been nicer to be farther away.
The Grand Hyatt looks gorgeous!

Def Poipoi or however you spell it LOL. We stayed in the Marriot which was beautiful, but Poipoi was always sunny and more hotels in the area
