Just ruined food! Any way to fix this?

Just made rice a roni in the microwave. Just cooked for the whole 18 minutes and there's still a ton of liquid. Realized that I put in 4 cups of water instead of 2Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Any way to fix this?

I think it would take a while to cook off the excess water, but you might be able to do it if you keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn.

drain out some of the water and cook it for another couple of minutes

I dont think you can dry it out, since the proportions are off. Do you have another box? Maybe add plain white rice?

dump it. It's done. Use another box or make some white rice with some peas and chicken stock.
