Just heard from my doctor about my m/c and why it happened
Well, I just heard from my doctor about my m/c. At my consult after my d&c 3 weeks ago, she told me my blood tests from my OB panel came back fine, so we originally did not know what happened. She just left me a message just now and I just found out why I miscarried. She told me the chromosomes in the embryo came back abnormal (they take a sample after they do the d&c) and that it was nature's way of telling us it wasn't right and it has nothing to do with us trying again. I kind of feel sad and relieved at the same time. I guess I have true closure now, some people do not know why it happens but we have been given the answer. It kind of gives me hope for next go around but I just hope that it's not in my genes and this was just a fluke. Thanks for listening girls...  for all!!!

Im glad you got some answers. I think its amazing that our bodies have the abilities to spare us a pregnancy that wouldnt be viable.

I'm very sorry for your loss  Chormosomal abnormality is usually to blame to for early miscarriages.

Chromosomal abnormalities are the most common reason for miscarriage and are almost always just the result of bad luck.
while it's horrible that you've had to go through this, it's great that your doctor was able to give you some answers. You know now that it's most likely not down to any issues with your fertility and that you can get pregnant.

I'm sure it was fluke of nature, and you have nothing to worry about in your next PG.
My sister's first baby had a chromosomal abnormality (Trisomy 21 - she didn't find out until the birth, the baby only made it 4 days). The doctors said it was a fluke of nature, and she went on to have 3 beautiful, healthy children.

Chromosomal abnormalities are the most common cause of m/c. It must be some relief to you to know the reasons why. I'm sorry you had to go through the whole D&C process.
