Re: jumper and toe walking?

My dd uses her jumper everyday for about an hour a day. I never heard of toe walking.

Re: jumper and toe walking?

DS is not walking yet, but he definitely goes up on his toes in his excersaucer. It is actually on my list of questions to ask Ped this week.

My friends daughter is in special orthopedic shoes because she is a toe walker. I don't think the jumper thingy had anything to do with this, but she is a toe walker.

DD used the jumper and exersaucer (both of which you should be on your toes and not flat footed when you use them.) Thankfully she does not have any problems with walking.

We used a jumperoo maybe 15-20 minutes a day max with each DC.

DS was then diagnosed with slightly high muscle tone. According to the ped and a physical therapist, had he continued to use the jumperoo it would have exaccerbated his issue and severely affected his overall physical development.

No more jumperoo for us. We play on the floor.

Re: jumper and toe walking?

I've heard that.

I keep an eye on DS when he's in there, and he's usually flat footed, so I'm not concerned at this point.
