Jetblue changed my flight schedule
I booked the Caymans Island for September to leave on Friday because it was the only day during the week that my husband could take off so he can stay with the kids while I enjoy 2 nights with my BFF. They now cancelled all outgoing flights for Fridays and they are only offering me a credit. Shouldn't they refund me the whole amount being that this was a change on their end? They are willing to change to leave Thursday but that doesn't work for me.
So upset
Update: Spoke to the manager and they refunded me in full.

I would imagine since the issue was on their end they should refund, not give you a credit, i would be upset

that bites.. but think of it this way.. their one way back may still be cheaper than others. So if they give you a credit for the way out I'd use and make your trip with them one way (if possible)
ETA: sorry misunderstood..when I think credit I think money back not just money for later.
yes I'd say money back would be the first option unless I planned to fly somewhere in the next year. Its my money and i'll use it for the flight I intended to take. They should waive any fees and refund the whole thing if they won't give you back half credit.

They are only willing to give me a credit. So if I decided to keep my coming back flight, I still have to come out of pocket to book with another airline to get there.

Did you call? This happened to me with Delta once and I called and they refunded me completely.

Since they changed the day - they should refund your trip (although I'm sure there's a clause where you booked that timing is subject to change and all).

Good luck getting your $$ back - this happened to my parents, they booked flights to Costa Rica almost a year before their trip (this was last year) and when Jet Blue changed their schedule, it meant they either needed to extend their time in Costa Rica or book a different airline down there. All Jet Blue offered was Jet Blue credit or a different flight, which the only flight available was two days before their planned departure date.
My Dad tried everything, calling, emailing, blasting them on every social media site possible and nothing worked. In the end, they booked the flight for two days earlier and my folks just had to eat the extra cost for 2 more days at their hotel.

I did speak to the manager and they did credit my card back. So upset we had everything planned out. Now I have to search for another destination.

Glad they gave you back your money. You should be able to find a reasonable elsewhere in the Caribbean in Sept since it's more than 2 weeks away.
