'Jersey Shore' goes Bostonian for a 'Wicked Summer'
While production continues on season 2 of MTV’s kinda-vaguely-mostly Italian-American, um, documentary series Jersey Shore, casting agents are now heading to Boston to exploit a different predominantly Catholic ethnic group, kinda-vaguely-mostly Irish-Americans! As E! reports, Wicked Summer is looking for “the hottest girls and proudly buff guys who believe in God, family, politics, sports, beer and partying!” The casting site is kind enough to translate its requirements into Boston-ese, which appears to the untrained eye to basically be Jersey Shore-ese with occasional “ah”s on the ends of words most of us would pronounce with a vowel sound followed by an R: “You share a love for muscle cahs, hair products, and little necks on the frickin half shell. You don’t take s**t from nobody — least of all each othah.”

Omg I can't wait for them to do a show of kinda-vaguely-mostly Mexican-Americans who eat tacos and frijoles.
Then they can do kinda-vaguely-mostly Asian-Americans who run laundromats and can't drive.
Then perhaps kinda-vaguely-mostly African-Americans who listen to rap music and eat fried chicken.
Ooo and then kinda-vaguely-mostly Arab-Americans who drive hummers and have billion dollar bank accounts from their rich families in the Middle East!
Then maybe kinda-vaguely-mostly Eskimo-Americans who live in igloos and eat whale blubber
They are really looking to exploit EVERY stereotype aren't they? oh boyyyyy

As a Catholic Irish American married to a Catholic Irish guy from Boston, we can't wait.
And I actually would laugh at the sterotypes of the Irish anyway.
