It's just got to stop...
I moved up to this new group in November and seriously...I must have gained at least 780 lbs since then. Day in and day out there is just constantly FOOD going around - in addition to the three meals I have here already.
If it's not chocolate covered something, it's cookies, and then came the truckload (22 boxes) of girl scout cookies. I walk in this morning...soft chew chips ahoy....Just got back from a meeting and sour patch kids and sweedish fish appear....
Really now...
The "area" where we put the food used to be called the "snack area" and then became the "food area"...later became the "feed"....and now I'm calling it the "trough"....b/c I feel like a pig (An-e-malle).
'nuff said.

and honestly, what I do, is take one bite and throw it away. even if I go back 17000 times, I am still only taking one bite...it kinda sorta helps...

at my old office, everyone used to also send an e-mail to all to announce the new food (i did it, too  )
"brownies in the usual place"
"irish soda bread in the usual place"
"chocolates in the usual place"
 bad, if you're trying to stick to a diet.

I thought my job was the only one's that did this. I tried to explain my 15lb weight gain to DH and I'm telling him its my job. He just doesn't understand. Everyday their is something in the kitchen  . Nothing healthy or good for you, but cookies, cheese cake, muffins, bagels, chocolate, candy, etc. It is unbelievable. And then today I told myself this morning, that is it I am starting my diet today. And then what happened it was someone's birthday (we celebrate birthdays here and we break and eat for 45 minutes) and she brought in bagels, chocolate, muffins, fruit, and a crumb cake. so I had a bagel and said to myself, maybe I'll start tomorrow.

I can't escape it! We have it here at my office. I work all guys, so they are constantly bringing in chips, donuts, cake & anything BAD!
Then I go home to my DH bringing home samples from food shows & from different vendors!!!
How is a girl to loose some lbs with all the good stuff around?

It's bad here too! We get the donuts and bagels, birthday treats, meeting leftovers and leftover holiday candy from about every holiday!!!
The only time it wasn't bad was when the company hosted WW in house, then they strived to find some healthy treats and cut back a bit but, now it's back at full force.
I needed to join WW after I started working here since I gained about 15lbs.

I worked for a financial company that had FREE Breakfast, lunch and snack.
and Im talking full fledge meals, all you can eat of anything  soups, cold cuts, lasagna, seafood, salads, fruits, puddings, ice cream, coffees, several different breakfast options, you name it, it was there all day long at your disposal.
The company's name was Bernstein and they called it the "Bernstein 15" and everyone bet within a year you'd reach it
You never seen so many investment guys, lined up in suits at 3pm for hot fresh brownies.
the menus were online, talk about spoiled rotten.
the guys used to make towers at their desks of the little cereal boxes

I just signed up in my office and that's half the reason!!! All we ever do here is EAT!
The kitchen is right behind me and some evil SOB keeps bringing in donuts, cookies, chocolate, cupcakes.. one of the attorneys' mothers sends a truckload of candy which is put out on one girl's desk for every holiday so I'm just waiting for the Easter shipment.
