It's funny you mention that. During our hospital tour our midwife told us that babies seem to know when the weather is bad (snow) and they have the least amount of deliveries during that time. But if I were you - I would keep still keep hope alive!!!!

Actually it isn't an old wives tale. Changes in barometric pressure can induce labor. That is the reason women in their third trimester are advised not to get on an airplane.

Obviously someone forgot to tell this to the baby I still have inside of me.
We leave for the hospital in 45 minutes to get induced.
Hopefully we'll be the only one's there..unless it' s one of you guys.

The nurses told me it's true. The barometric pressure plus the stress of worrying about getting to the hospital.
The day we were leaving the hospital when my dd was born there was a blizzard being forecast and the maternity ward was full. They were so happy that we left as soon as my doc signed the papers.
I was a scheduled induction when my ds was born in June. There was terrible rainstorm and I had to wait almost 6 hours for a bed to open in L&D, and then once I had him I waited about 4 hours in L&D until a bed was open in maternity.
