Is VS decent for bra fitting? Also when is semi-annual sale?
I'm done BF'ing and desperately need new bras. I have no size what I "normally" wear because I've been preggo or BF for the past almost 4 years. 
Is VS a decent place to get fitted? Should I really go to a department store, a specialty store, etc? I'm average size so it's not like I need special sizes.
Any recommendations? Also, does anyone know when VS has their next semi-annual sale?

I personally wouldn't recc VS for a bra fitting for any woman over the age of 25 .....or any woman under the age of 25 who's had children 
a higher end department store ......
Or, if you really want to go crazy, there is a place in the city near the theater district that specializes in it - they do all of the costuming for Broadway .......
I can't rememember the name ....I have to google around.

I find that VS bras never fit me right. If you want a good fitting, you can go to Intimacy in Roosevelt Field. The department stores are okay, but it's hit or miss whether you get a salesperson that is knowledgeable.

I cant wear anything BUT VS bras. I LOVE them, I guess Im in the minority.

VS is hit or miss for bra fitting. I would recommend going to a shop that has trained bra fitters.

I am over 25 and I have a child, but I have small boobs that never really went anywhere after child birth (sadly, they were too small to go anywhere!)
So VS bras still fit me fine.
How their fitting service is I don't know, never used it.
My other issue with their bras though is that they really don't hold up well for the price.
I do better in Kohl's.
But again, I am not a hard fit and don't really need much support.

They are HORRIBLE for bra fitting. Go to Linda the Bra lady in NYC (both uws and midtown east).

Not really. They always tell me different things and their sizes run weird.
The semi annual sale is in June and December.

I use to wear VS all the time and half the time my girls were hanging out. I tried so many different bras and nothing word. I went by a recommendation from here for Lane Bryant bras, OMG what wonders! Highly recommend them!

The sales people on VS floor have NO CLUE! Don't go there! I just recently had a mindblowing experience at the little shop called The Magic Corset in Forest Hills. It turnes out I have been wearing a wrong size bra for YEARS! The funny thing, the VS person measured me a few years ago with the tape, doing the whole thing the way you would imagine one should but she was completely off! I walked into Magic COrset and asked to be measured because I have been shopping for new bras for a year and haven't been able to find anything that fits in what I thought was my size. So this one woman comes up to me, gives me a once over, puts two fingers on my breastplate between my boobs and annouces "You are a 30D." I say "NO WAY, I am NOT, I have been wearing 34B for years." Of course I tried the size she told me I was and finally felt amazing in my bra! My boobs are finally staying in and nothing is falling out or riding up! Feels so good!
I didn't buy anything there because they are very, very expensive but went to Century 21 the next day and got an amazing bra on sale for $12! 
True story! :) So go to a privately owned small specialty shop or a higher end store that the girls recommended on this thread and get yourself measured! You will be so happy!

Nordstrom in RF is outstanding for fittings.
VS isn't. They don't train the employees and their bras are not great quality.

I think it depends on your boobs. If you are on the smaller side I think you will be ok. Before I had kids that is all I wore.
Now, I buy my bra's at Nordstroms. I have gotten fitted there and even then you still need to see what brand fits you the best.
The store in the city is Lydia's I think and she has a website now too.
