Actually, I would have guessed it was too late, but I just went today to get pumpkins & they still had a lot of apples. This was in Westchester, so I'm not sure about LI.

Just call before you go. The timing & length of the season varies every season, so there isn't really an exact time that it ends.

We went apple picking this past Monday in Jersey and there were plenty of apples to be picked.

My DH just told me that the apple orchard here is open through the 2nd weekend in November

I think we paid something like $28 dollars for the bushel of apples and another dollar or so for the hayride.

We just went 2 weekends ago and they had plenty of apples. But last year at this time we wanted to go but Wickhams said their apple picking season was over, it was because they had a bad season. I think this season is better for the crops.
