Is this wierd? Daycare toddler potty related.
That they don't have a changing table in the room. They change the kids standing up and have a changing pad if necessary.
He's is a 2.5 to 3 year old room.
Some kids are potty training in which case they put them on the toilet. Most are not.
I guess I just think it is weird because, while I can do it and have done it before, I just hate putting the diaper on while he is standing unless it is a pull up.

Lisa, this is the way it is in Lucas's room and the ages are 2-3. I hate changing him standing up, but I guess if you did it 5 times a day for 15 kids you'd get better at it!!!!

You're right, they're probably much better at it than me. For wet diapers I can see it being fine. But for poopy diapers I can just see this being a big old mess!!! Maybe that's when they use the changing pad.

Thry also do this in DS's room & I don't really like it either. His diaper always seems to be falling down b/c they rush to put it on. Whatever

That's true at my daycare too, and they put it on lying down  But so far we haven't had any real accidents so I haven't complained. DH complains all the time though

My room has a changing table, but since 3/4 of the kids are potty trained she changes the other ones standing up while the potty trained ones are on the potty.
She taught them all "touch your toes" for the poopy diapers - they bend all the way down and you can get all the yuck.
